Hosting runs free to about ten dollars a month, paid to the host, not to us. There's no required retainer. Monthly updates are a separate conversation, never a condition of the build.
Keep what already ranks.
If your old site brings in calls from Google, a rebuild shouldn't throw that away. Before we write any code, we pull every page and every URL off the existing site. Then we rebuild them at the same addresses, so nothing 404s and the pages Google already knows keep working.
Our biggest rebuild, a 134-page plumbing site, put every page back at its original address. That's the standard, not an upgrade.
