Privacy Policy
Short version: we collect what you type into our form plus basic, anonymous-style analytics about how the site is used. We use it to answer you, build your site and improve this one. We don't sell it, and we don't run ad trackers on this site.
Who we are
NOCTURNE ("we," "us") is a web design studio based in Los Angeles, California. We build websites, scroll films, local SEO pages and Google Business profiles. This policy covers nocturne.design.
What we collect
What you send us. When you fill out our demo form, we receive your name, business name, phone number, email, the services you pick, your notes, your current website and any sites you share for inspiration.
What stays on your device. The missed-call calculator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into it is sent to us. The site also keeps a few small, temporary settings in your browser's session storage (like whether you've already seen the intro). These clear when you close the tab.
Technical data. Like every website, our hosting provider records basic request data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site, such as which pages are viewed, how long visits last, roughly where visitors are (city or region) and what device and browser they use. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects your IP address to do this. We've turned off Google signals and ad personalization, so this data is used only to measure the site, not to target you with ads. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We do not use advertising trackers or cross-site ad tracking on this site.
How we use it
- To reply to your request, call you about it and build your demo.
- To provide, deliver and support the work you hire us for.
- To contact you by phone, text or email about your request and project.
- To keep basic business records and meet legal obligations.
Texts and calls
If you give us your phone number, you agree we may call or text you about your request and project. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts or HELP for help. We don't send marketing texts to people who haven't asked to hear from us, and we never share your mobile number with third parties for their marketing.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We only share it with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed:
- Web3Forms, which delivers form submissions to our inbox.
- Vercel, which hosts this website.
- Google, for Google Analytics, web fonts and our email.
- Tools we use to build and host your site once you hire us, as needed for your project.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a sale or merger of the business.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above: typically for the length of your project plus a reasonable period for records, support and legal requirements. Then we delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right not to be discriminated against for using them. Since we don't sell or share personal information, there's nothing to opt out of, and browser privacy signals (like Global Privacy Control) are honored by default.
To make a request, use the form on our homepage and write "Privacy request" in the notes. We'll verify it's you before acting on it and reply within 45 days.
Children
This site is for businesses and isn't directed to children under 16. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, and the site is served over HTTPS. No method of sending or storing data is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll change the effective date at the top. Big changes will be noted on the site.
